4.What does progressive music mean to you?
So much variety is offered in this genre that it keeps people listening. Personally, I love good old thrash and heavy metal, but that's the younger side of me. Progressive metal is probably the most 'mature' of metal genres and it's something I can relate to so easily, especially the older I get.

5.When did you set up MNK studios, and why?
I'm an audio engineer by profession. I provide mixing and mastering services, and when I started back in 2001, I was doing mainly live gigs, though I'd trained for studio work. I recorded my first official studio track in 2003, which was the first metal track to be aired on national airwaves here. In 2005 I decided I wanted to set up a home recording studio to cater to local bands, and since then have been doing so, as well as working with international acts. Currently, MNK Studios provides post production services to corporate clients and the like, but when it comes to music, it's the second home of many musicians.
